Marisa González

Marisa González was born in Bilbao Spain, 1945 and lives in Madrid.
Graduate in Music in Bilbao and in Fine Arts at the School in Madrid 1971.
She did her Master in Fine Arts at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.in 1971-73 where she studied with Sonia Sheridan at the Generative Systems Department.
BFA at the Corcoran School of Art in Washington D.C. 1976.
Network of Generative Systems in Spain.
Her work is represented among others, The Museum of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Spain. The Chase Manhatan Bank New York. The International Museum of Salvador Allende in Chile. Collection Telefónica in Spain. Museum für Fotokopie Mulheim-Ruhr, in Germany. Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia de Madrid.
She publish articles and gives lectures on New Tecnologies in different centers.
She works with photography, electrography, computers, video installations, Net Art.
She made more than 50 one-person shows, and 100 group shows in Spain, Europe and USA such as, “Procesos Cultura y Nuevas Tecnologías” at the Reina Sofia Museum in Madrid in 1986. What happened to the Pioneers?, Montreal, 1995. “The metamorphosis of the hand," Recoleta Cultural Center Buenos Aires 2.002. “The paysage Humane”, at the African Biennal of Fotography in Bamako, Mali 2005. Meiac Badajoz and ZKM in Germany 2008.
Main one person shows: at the Fundacion Telefonica de Madrid "La Fabrica," 2000. Sala Rekalde in Bibao 2001. "Nuclear Plant Lemoniz," (about the demolition of a nuclear plant) in the CAB de Burgos 2004.
