Heal-In — A Multisensory Experience

Heal-In — A Multisensory Experience

Dates or Deadline:
2 September 2020
Country:
United States

Inspired by the protest techniques of sit-in, lie-in, and teach-in, Heal-In is a multisensorial offering created in collaboration with Beatrice Glow (multidisciplinary artist, researcher and advocate) and Grace Osborne (sound artist, academic, and healing arts worker).

Heal-In guides participants on an audiovisual journey enhanced by olfactory components with the intention of engaging the question, "What does it mean to heal and be healed in a decolonized context?"

Access to Heal-In will be made available after online registration and the option to listen and watch will be streamed. For the optimal experience, headphones are recommended. An optional olfactory experience will be mailed out and a live feedback and discussion session will be held on September 2 at 6:00PM PST.

A portion of the proceeds will support the Munsee Three Sisters Medicinal Farm that is led by Indigenous environmental stewards and water protectors Clan Mother Michaeline Picaro Mann and Turtle Clan Chief Vincent Mann of the Ramapough Lunaape Nation.
