Please join us for an evening of introductions to the Leonardo CripTech Incubator Artists. Please RSVP.

Clockwise, from top left: A multi-color tree that one can wander inside of, surrounded by orchid textures in an interactive virtual space; The center of the image shows reflected views of a woman’s ears with long dark hair cascading over them, one wearing a hearing aid and the other a cochlear implant processor. The string and soundboard of a grand piano flanks each side; A man holding a white cane leads a long line of people around a street corner; each of them touching the next person’s shoulder.; A photo of a computer screen that shows an open session in Max/MSP. Spread across the screen is a series of one line text. The text is repeated in 2 groups. Each text line is stacked atop each other. White text on a black background resembles a plastic strip from a label maker. The text of the top groups reads, “Max is not accessible” and is repeated over a dozen times. The lower group’s text read, “This shouldn’t be so hard.” This text is repeated over a dozen times. The text lines are staggered to look like a staircase.; A screenshot of 12 Zoom tiles filled with rounded, spiky, and fuzzy, amorphous, human silhouettes merging between solid black to messy textures and colors. Textures are vibrant orange reds, grey greens, yellow-ie tans and electric blue. Some forms touch across the tiles.;A television screen mounted on a chartreuse wall shows two side-by-side images, one of a temporary crutches user descending courthouse stairs, the other a close up of an ankle X-ray with white captions reading 1-800-LAW-6455.Please join us to meet the CripTech Incubator’s 2022-2023 inaugural cohort of six disabled artists, who have been selected to create and showcase innovative work in art and technology at residency sites across California. In this virtual event, Incubator fellows Carmen Papalia, Olivia Ting, JS Shokrian, Meesh Fradkin, Andy Slater and moira williams will be presenting their works-in-progress.
