SciArt Initiative is now accepting submissions for the Summer 2021 issue on the theme of light. We encourage submissions inspired by this theme which may relate to physics (e.g. wave/particle duality), energy science (e.g. solar), biology (e.g. visual perception), technology (e.g. cameras, film, etc.) and more. This issue will be published in August 2021.

Types of accepted submissions:
- Artistic (art work images/media) (art work which engages scientific topics on the theme of light in the media of visual art, poetry, short form fiction, performing arts, sound arts)
- Research-based (articles which examine the topic through an art/science lens)
- Articles (which overview the topic from an art-science point of view)

Submission Guidelines

• Artistic
  • Media (jpgs, pngs, GIFs, movie files, audio files, word files)
  • Artist/art work Statement (written in the first person, max 500 words) in word doc format
  • Bio (written in the third person, max 200 words) in word doc format
  • Image captions (title, year made, materials, dimensions, photo credit if any) in word doc format
• Research-based
  • Media (jpgs, pngs, GIFs, movie files, audio files)
  • Article (max 2,000 words) in word doc format​
