How can we turn the challenges of climate change into opportunities?

Students from the ASU School of Film, Dance and Theatre team up with Biodesign Institute researchers to present a series of three-minute plays that look at climate change as part of Climate Change Theatre Action (CCTA), a worldwide series of readings and performances of short climate change plays presented biennially in support of the United Nations Conference of the Parties (COP meetings).

CCTA seeks to foster non-partisan local and global conversations about climate change and encourage people to take action within their community. There are 211 events in 38 countries. In the U.S., 132 events will take place in 96 cities across 45 states. ASU is part of the action!

Actors from the School of Film, Dance and Theatre in the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts will offer three staged readings. Each play is matched with a scientist/researcher from ASU’s Biodesign Institute in order to illuminate the material and their related research.

Join us on Nov. 14 from noon to 1 p.m. at the Biodesign Institute auditorium for a demonstration of science and the power of storytelling. Pizza will be served.

This one-hour event is free and open to the public.
