Ed Payne

Ed Payne is President and a co-founder of Albathion Software, Inc. He brings to his leadership role at Albathion over 25 years of technical and senior management experience in the software industry. As a senior executive and founder of three startups, he has experience in all aspects of technology companies: project capitalization, mergers and acquisitions, technology partnerships, product development, and engineering. His companies have an industry-wide reputation for on-time, on-budget delivery of product. In 1999 Ed and Marty Harris co-founded QuickDog, Inc. to build Internet infrastructure software for the online retailing sector. As CEO Ed raised over $7M in venture funding for QuickDog and created partnerships with nationally known companies including McKinsey & Company, Lands End and NEC. Prior to forming Albathion, Ed was a senior scientist in the Advanced Product Development group at IntelliCorp, a California-based computer firm specializing in Artificial Intelligence (AI) software; he led the team that created IntelliCorp's second commercial product. Prior to IntelliCorp, Ed worked for eight years as a Senior Consultant at Arthur D. Little, Inc., Cambridge, Massachusetts (ADL). Ed was a co-founder of ADL's Artificial Intelligence Group. His responsibilities there involved leadership of government and private sector client consulting jobs.
