Stan Shaff is co-founder of Audium, a retired music and Humanities teacher, and still an active composer. He collaborated with Anna Halprin’s Dancer’s Workshop and the San Francisco Tape Music Center in his early career before co-founding Audium in 1965. 
Stan is involved in the daily activities of Audium, and his writings and ideas have shaped Audium’s experience and mission. He has given thousands of spatial sound performances at Audium; he has published papers on Audium’s philosophy and has dialogued with some of the leading figures in music, the arts, and technology.
