Gisèle Trudel is an artist and full professor at the School of Visual and Media Arts at the University of Quebec in Montreal. She holds the Canada Research Chair in Arts, Ecotechnologies of Practice and Climate Change (2020-2025). With Stéphane Claude, electronic composer and immersive sound specialist, they founded the artistic research unit Ælab in 1996. The duo focuses experimental documentary in a collaborative approach with different fields of research (art, science, philosophy, engineering). They forge an innovative way of producing and presenting their research-creation work in a larger ecology where art is a middling between natures, technologies and collectivities.
