Misha Rabinovich

As co-founder of the DS Institute he collaborated to build a mobile sauna and took it on a tour that culminated at the New Museum's Ideas City Festival. His work has been featured in such publications as the Parsons Journal of Information Mapping and conferences such as SIGGRAPH. He recently collaborated with artist Caitlin Foley to install an arcade game training people for a simultaneous worldwide jump at the Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts in New York, Boston Cyberarts Gallery, and the GameOn! Festival in New Haven, CT. Misha Rabinovich was born in Moscow, Russia and worked between New York and Los Angeles before settling in Boston, Massachusetts where he serves as Assistant Professor of Interactive Media at UMass Lowell. He holds a BS in Electronic Art from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an MFA from Syracuse University. His work has been exhibited in North America and Europe and he held residencies at such places as the Bemis Center for Contemporary Art in Omaha, Flux Factory in New York, and McGill University's Centre for Intelligent Machines in Montreal.
