I Studied psychology and art at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. For over twenty years I have created a variety of art forms based on a pointillistic painting technique inspired by a description of the microcosmos found in contemporary physics.

Since 1984 I have initiated and developed a series of "art-in-space" projects. In 1990 I founded the OURS Foundation, a non-profit cultural and astronautical organization dedicated to the establishment of a cultural dimension within humanity's space activities.

In cooperation with the European Space Agency, I organized "Ars ad Astra: The First Art Exhibition in Earth Orbit" on Mir station, which opened the door to space to artists from around the world. Ars Ad Astra consisted of 20 original artworks and an electronic archive which was sent to the Mir station. I am also editor of "ars astronautica" an Internet magazine dedicated to exploring and nurturing the arts in and about space.

In 1996 I initiated the Swissart Network, an award winning Internet site serving the Swiss contemporary art scene. It provides Swiss artists, galleries, museums and organizations with an attractive place on the World Wide Web to share their works with the entire world. In 1998 the Swissart Network became incorporated into the Swissart GmbH and today it is the most visited art website in Switzerland.
