Clifford A. Pickover is a research staff member at the IBM Watson Research Center in Yorktown Heights, New York. He received his Ph.D. from Yale University and is the author of thirty books on such topics as computers and creativity, art, mathematics, black holes, human behavior and intelligence, time travel, alien life, and science fiction. Pickover is an inventor and the author of colorful puzzle calendars, as well as a puzzle contributor to magazines geared to children and adults. Pickover's computer graphics have been featured on the cover of popular magazines and on TV shows.
