Mariah Klaneski is a Masters student at Wesleyan University studying Science and Art in a special interdisciplinary program with mentor David Beveridge from the Department of Chemistry. She received her B.A. in Studio Art with Honors from Wesleyan in 2004 and looked at the intersections between sound and space through a sculptural installation exhibition piece for her undergraduate thesis, “Pax Resonans.” Over the past two years she has worked on the development of a new course called “Science and Art” with Professor Beveridge and is currently developing and teaching a version of the Science and Art class to 10-12 year olds at Green Street Arts Center in Middletown, CT.
