Patricia Pisters is assistant professor at the Department of Film and
Television Studies of the University of Amsterdam. She published
Micropolitics of Media Culture: Reading the Rhizomes of Deleuze and
Guattari (Amsterdam: Amsterdam University Press, 2001) and her book The
Matrix of Visual Culture will appear with Stanford (2001).
