Hugo de Rijke
Hugo de Rijke is a barrister and lecturer at the University of Plymouth,
where across two Schools he teaches law, literature and film, contract
law, narrative and digital form, and creative industries. His research
focuses upon media law and the inter-relationships between law, literature
and film. These include the legal regulation of literature and other
media (copyright, obscenity and libel law), law as narrative, and legal
process as featured within literature and film. Particular interests
include the reform of copyright and obscenity law, with reference to
the Open Source and Creative Commons movements, digital activism, free
speech and moral autonomy.
