artist: cognition for example. Excellent to work also on A-Life."

"Forcasting (scientific) art development; Empirical aesthetics"

"New Digital Graphic Technology; New Media Arts; Virtual Reality"

"More on virtual reality"

"Cross-cultural analysis of color categorization; the interest in science stemming
from issues such as human genome, genetically modified food"

"viractuality"

"industrial/technological processes and materials that have potential for artistic
use."

"more philosophical topics"

Question 8
Do you have a mailing list that we could use to promote Leonardo?

Yes responses: 4

Question 9
Please add any other comments on how we can improve Leonardo.
"more color illustrations"

"more images on the on-line version"

"I think the topics and the direction in Leonardo are clear. Perhaps it may include
a section in which artists unformaly discuss some current issues. Non-English
speakers or the artist who have less experience may freely participate in order to
discuss the current tendency, as well. I also think the editor who patiently helped
my article."

"to retain an emphasis on developments in the arts, sciences and technology in
countries throughout the world."

"As a contributor, I do not particularly like your reference style, which blends
sources with notes. I much prefer the "scientific" style, where books, articles, etc.
are listed under "references" and cited in the body of the text between brackets.
Eg: ‘such a realm is art’ (Heidegger 1954:55). Although I must admit that I have
got a considerable amount of feedback from editors, I also think, regarding this
point, that ‘the more, the better’."

"1. If a reputable author submits an article in a ‘neutral’ clear writing style, fre of
passive voice constructions, why should a copy editor attempt to ‘improve’ such
an article? In my recent experience, not only was the style comprised by the copy
editor, factual accuracy was also compromised in certain instances.

2. If LMJ wants a MS Word disk submitted (or an email version transmitted) in
additions to a double-spaced hard copy, that should be clearly stated in the
guidelines for authors.

3. Issues with CDs should have much better coordination at LMJ regarding timely
requests for license agreements, actual titles and contents of the CD, etc."
