No words can express the sadness and emptiness that the passing of Vera Molnár, one of the most
influential and prolific pioneers of computer art, leaves behind. Having known her and been a
part—albeit briefly—of her life has been a true blessing that I will always cherish.

Curiosity and surprise have been constant sources of inspiration for Molnár. As her artworks, crafted
until 2023, beautifully illustrate, curiosity and surprise continued to be the driving forces behind her
artistic exploration until her very last days. These creations not only showcase her unwavering
dedication to pushing the boundaries of creativity but also serve as a testament to her unyielding spirit
in experimenting with novel materials and techniques.

Through Vera Molnár's enduring contributions in generative and algorithmic art, her memory is
destined to resonate in the realm of contemporary art for years to come, leaving a lasting legacy on
those who have had the privilege of experiencing her innovative and thought-provoking work. For
those fortunate enough to have known her closely, Vera leaves an indelible mark on their hearts. Her
incredibly generous, creative, sparkling soul has been a source of inspiration.

Navigating through this grief, I am certain that as I share more memories and stories through my
work, we can collectively ensure that Vera's inspiring legacy lives on, touching our hearts in ways only
she could.

In this picture that I took in Paris when we completed Icône 2020, her first-ever glasswork made in
Murano, Venice, and featured in the Venice Biennale 2022, Vera holds a piece of glass and gold next
to her heart.
